Greenhouses for year-round vegetables growing have been built in Komi
On August 20, the Sosnogorsk greenhouse complex construction was solemnly completed. The new agricultural enterprise was visited by Head of the Republic of Komi Sergey Gaplikov.
The project costs RUR 3.6 bln. The investor’s and borrowed funds were invested in the project. The total area of the complex is 12.6 hectares.
Sosnogorsk greenhouse complex will supply the population of Komi and other regions with environmentally friendly vegetable products year-round. At least 250 new jobs will be created, and tax revenues to all levels budgets will be increased.
The company uses advanced innovative equipment and Ultra Clima technology for vegetables growing. They facilitate maintaining the desired microclimate at any time of the year, protect against insects, and save energy.
The seedling department has been operating in test mode since the end of March this year. The main products are tomatoes and cucumbers. This year it is planned to get 3,500 tons of vegetables. The complex will reach its design capacity by 2021. Annual production will amount to 10,000 tons of vegetables.
