The Ministry of Industry of Komi has initiated the International Cooperation and Export national project
The main task is to increase non-primary goods export 1.5 times within six years. By the end of 2018, it amounted to USD 0.59 bln. Alexey Prosuzhikh, Acting Minister of Investments, Industry and Transport of the region reported on the national project initiation to Sergey Gaplikov, Head of the Republic of Komi.
Labour capacity and export growth are among the priorities identified by President Vladimir Putin in his message to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
To solve this task, the Republic of Komi made an agreement with the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia on services exports and with the AO Russian Export Centre on system measures in international cooperation and export. An agreement with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia to develop industrial export in Komi is ready to be signed.
To achieve the goal, the region will use a number of tools, such as manufacturers support, implementation of the 2.0 Regional Export Standard, introduction of the “One Stop” information system aimed at interaction between foreign economic activity and international trade partners and public authorities, including regulatory authorities, as well as at services export growth and elimination of existing services export barriers.
