The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia endorsed Strategy of Socio-Economic Development of the Republic of Komi until 2035.
Issues of preparing the region for the strategy implementation were discussed at a meeting between Sergey Gaplikov, Head of the Republic of Komi and Marina Anisimova, Minister of Economy of the region.
At the beginning of the meeting Marina Anisimova announced that Strategy 2035 project had been positively estimated by federal executive authorities. The document was also highly assessed by Expert Analytical Centre of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and International Centre for Social and Economic Research “Leontiev Centre”.
On February 28, the Ministry will present the draft document in the State Council of the Republic of Komi for its further discussion at the deputy corps presidium session.
Strategy 2035 pursues the previous Strategy 2020. The new document key issues deal with economy, social areas, infrastructure, and municipalities’ development. Moreover, much attention is paid to the quality of public administration.
The Strategy envisages formation of economy growth centres and priority development areas, development of cluster policy, expansion of municipalities and business entities’ cooperation ties, implementation of technological, organizational and managerial innovations.
The Head of the Republic of Komi declared that not only republican authorities should be involved into the Strategy implementation. Municipal authorities, the public, and residents should actively participate in the improvement of their yards, villages, cities within the framework of initiative budgeting projects.
