Improvement of medical care, development of some livestock farming areas, small industries establishment and tourism are promising cooperation issues between the Republic of Komi and Israel
According to the Consul General, the Republic of Komi is a region of considerable interest in investment, infrastructural and research projects, as well as in the exchange of medical practice, particularly in oncology, neonatology and pediatric rehabilitation. M.Lotem also noted the interest of business community of Israel in the delivery of such food-stuffs as venison, fish and offal from the Republic of Komi.
Sergey Gaplikov thanked the Consul General for facilitating stable business relations, saying that the Republic of Komi was also interested in active cooperation with the State of Israel in various economy and humanitarian fields.
During the meeting and joint work prospects discussion Sergey Gaplikov instructed the Government of the Republic of Komi to work with Israel business circles on the projects to be implemented in the republic.
The parties expressed confidence that the meeting and the agreements reached during the Consul General visit would give a new impetus to cooperation between the Republic of Komi and Israel, as well as to regular information and contacts exchange on official and business levels.
The program of the visit includes meetings with the regional ministers. The Ministry of Industry, Natural Resources, Energy and Transport of the Republic of Komi will present the investment potential of the Republic of Komi.
JSC Mondi SLPK, Syktyvkar Dairy Factory, the Republican Children's Clinical Hospital, the House of Peoples’ Friendship of the Republic of Komi, the Museum of Geology of the Komi Scientific Centre of the Ural Branch of RAS and the National Museum of the Republic of Komi are in the delegation visit schedule.
